It won’t let me play..

Hey! I tried loading into sims today but there’s a really weird glitch and it will not let me. On the home page it has a family that I haven’t made, but I didn’t think much on it. On the left side of my screen though, there were some random W’s all glitched together. I pressed to start a new game and it brought me to CAS but wouldn’t load a sim. The aspiration/traits weren’t loading either, and on the bottom left corner where you would normally see the sim there was a red X over it with the loading thing on it but it wasn’t actually loading it was just there. Someone please help! 

(Photos of what I’m talking about are attached, and I waited like 10 minutes and it’s still like that so no, it’s not still loading.)

    Hi lilyrose1frr​ 

    the wwwwww is only a symptom of you not having an active family. Your actual issue sounds like some kind of corruption or mod residue

    Try the following

    - Close the game
    - Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    - Repair the game
    - Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry. 
    - Start a new save game
    - Check if you still have the error
    - Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.
