Lag and Not working selling objects or dragging objects and switching sims

I am having issues with extreme lag between switching from one sim to another in the same household. In addition, when in build mode half the objects I click to sell or place, do not show up or do not sell. It takes multiple attempts to get them to do so. Finally when dragging an object from either an inventory or off of a surface, the mouse cannot release the object so it is stuck to the cursor, and takes a long time to either release onto the intended area or return to where it was.
