[LD] Reaper: Can't enter workplace lot

I apologize for using a translator to describe my issue as a non-native English speaker.

After purchasing this DLC, I normally played the game and explored the Reaper profession content. One day, while visiting other locations, I loaded into the profession, and shortly after, the game crashed.

Since then, I have been unable to enter the Reaper's workplace. Here are the operations I have tried so far:

(1) Disconnecting Steam and EA and then entering the game.

(2) Removing all Mods and CCs, along with contents from the save files and tray folder.

(3) Uninstalling the game downloaded from Steam and reinstalling it.

(4) Deleting all generated cache files.

(5) Using the client to verify the integrity of the game files.

(6) According to the explanation from the Last Exception website, the error occurred due to the inability to read contents from the specific DLC.

I have searched the community for related issues but did not find similar problems and their solutions. I did not add any new mods during my gameplay, so I believe there may be an issue with the game map itself, but I am not sure how to fix it.The error message from MCCC indicates the following two statements:

[cjiang] Error occurred within the tag named 'final_product' (value: U) (UnavailablePackSafeResourceError), CategoryID: definition_manager:324

[manus] Exception while finishing tuning for catdevpete:gothic_recipe_Drink_Brewed_Tea_Teaset_Black_English4. (UnavailablePackSafeResourceError), Category ID: definition_manager:324.

Additionally, I will attach the game's error report. As starting a new game and save does not resolve this issue, it affects my ability to play this newly purchased DLC. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help resolve this issue.

These are all from a modded game.

    Try the following

    • Close the game
    • Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    • Repair the game
    • Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry.
    • Close the game
    • Copy the save game with the error from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old\Saves to the new Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4
    • Start your save game
    • Check if you still have the error and if you do, try the double load again.
    • Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

  • Hi pianomega_ex

You can't upload exception files here, you need to copy/paste.

To make sure the LEs are related to the issue, please do the following

    - Delete the ones you have
    - Trigger the error again
    - Check if new ones are created
    - Please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.

Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting.

Also to be sure, this happens on a new save game as well ?

I'm sorry I don't often use forums to communicate with others. Does this mean I should delete the post and repost the incorrect content? If so, I will do that. Also, I have tested that the new archive will trigger this issue as well.

    No, you can leave it.

Just test your game without mod/cc and post the LE you're getting from the game.

You can also edit your post by clicking on the cogwheel here

I understand. I have uploaded the LE generated after removing mods and saves to Google Drive and edited it in the post for easy viewing. Thank you very much for your friendly assistance.

Yes, I think there is still a possibility that I will need to address this issue in the future. If it's convenient for you to answer. Thank you very much for your help.

You can now start to copy back things from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old to the new Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder that was created.

First only copy (I suggest to copy so you can go back in case anything goes wrong along the way) the rest of the content of the folder Saves (these are your save games). If you are prompted if want to overwrite a save, decide if you want to keep that testing save you just made or not. If not, just overwrite if, if you want to keep it, rename the save to a different number that isn't taken.

If you have other save games that need testing, to that. After that you can start copying the rest back.

You will need the following folders/files

    - Tray (your households and lots you have saved to library)- Custom Music (if you added any)
    - usersettings(.ini)
    - Screenshots (if you've taken any)
    - Videos (if you've taken any)
    - ConfigOverride (if you made any although I recommend redoing those)
    - Options(.ini) (although I recommend to just redo your settings in the game)

Now test again. If that still works, you can put back your mods. Put them back in groups and make sure they are still compatible with the game.

All other files are recreated and not needed.
