Hey, @EA_Solaire ! :D
Yeah, my Black Widow is a junk food junkie, LOL. It turns out she likes fruitcake, and I discovered that if I gave her a slice of fruitcake it would cheer her up when she was moping about her house not being nice enough or the latest spousal death, and... yeah. ROTFL.
I'm kind of a sweetness and light long lifespan/aging off player who spoils her Sims, lol. Even my criminals have good reputations, which I joke to my friend on Discord means that I'm either doing it wrong or VERY RIGHT. 😉 Left to my own devices, I do things like the Super Sim challenge (all-time favorite save, I raised her to have every possible skill gain bonus and then set her to max all skills, complete all aspirations, do every job to level 10, complete collections, etc.), sprawling family rotations (my favorite!!!), or challenges of my own devising (for example "Nomad," in which she doesn't own a house on her home lot and owns a tent and tries to live mostly in Granite Falls, Selvadorada, etc., and earn a living Freelancing). I played Black Widow specifically because I've been playing since 2017 and had never let a Sim die; I would even plead for randos freezing at the gym and use death flowers if I had them. I tried to play the Legacy Challenge and when MCCC said my founder had 4 days left I set the save aside and haven't been back.
Okay, Jacques Villareal has a rough time in my saves. In my starter save I've put a machete and an urn under the basement stairs as lore. If I play the household I usually lock the kids' doors to him, and if I need a victim I often think of Jacques first, LOL. I also let him eat bizarre fruit and get possessed and had him befriend Mother in one save. :D
I do like a few curve balls, but most of those are things like <mod>risky woohoo</mod>.
Example: MCCC has grabbed several of my Sims and given them illegitimate children before I played them.
Me: *steam coming out of ears for a second*
Me: MCCC, Neil and Daniel are A MARRIED GAY COUPLE WHyyyyyYYYYYYyyyyYYYY did you give them full romance bars and illegitmate children with WOMEN? Grrrr!
Me: *uses manage households to seize custody of the children for the gay couple, zeroes out the romance bars, and starts a storyline about how they hired surrogate mothers in my head*
Me: *decides the heterosexual man had a fling and is just friends with the baby mama and marries him off to the Sim of my choice anyway and seizes the child through manage worlds*
Me: *ignores the other baby because he's the son of a Maxis townie and I've decided not to play him after all because MCCC "ruined" my plans for him (also the baby mama has lost the RNG trait lottery despite being beautiful), but then Neighborhood Stories kills his roommate and the baby mama, and MCCC stuffs the toddler and the cat into his household... suddenly he's FASCINATING* 😉
I've also been known to seize a love interest and her 3 MCCC-generated illegitimate teens and children, stuff them into a house, give the daughters makeovers, play them to get their skills up, etc., because I wanted the love interest to marry my Sim but DIDN'T want her to abandon any children and didn't have household slots for all of them. (Me: "Strong bloodline? Girl, who's your daddy... YOU'RE L FABA'S GRANDDAUGHTER???")
On the other hand, my conservationist being bored in Mua Pel'am because there's no wifi? Noo🤭OOOOooooo lol! He's there to save the world AND HIS FISH FRIENDS!!! (He's a Child of the Ocean and I have a lot of fun naming all his conservationist videos something about FISH FRIENDS.) So I guess it's to do with What My Save Is About? I don't mind surprise babies in family saves (okay, I complain bitterly but secretly love it), but I want my Saving The World Sims to... Save the World.
But I digress. New lifestyles! Hmmm.
Maybe Homebody/Party Animal? If they never leave their home lot, they get bored at public lots and just want to go home, while if they go to public lots all the time they get restless hanging around the house all day and want to GO OUT! Not exactly Outdoorsy or Loves the Outdoors, more... wants to go to bars/nightclubs/restaurants/retail lots/anything that's NOT home. Maybe it could benefit WFH careers if you're a homebody, while if you're a Party Animal you might go to work bored or tense and take a bit of a performance hit if you haven't gone out to let off steam lately.
It might also be fun to do something with occults, if people have the packs. Occult Enthusiast/Occult Anxious. If they go to the bar on alien night, search for the truth on the telescope, always let Vladdy Daddy or Caleb or Lilith in when they knock, hang around in Glimmerbrook, etc., then they're more likely to have vampire visits/be abducted by aliens/see mermaids/meet casters and this makes them happy, while if they carefully avoid all things occult they might get a tense "something seems odd about this Sim" mood when they meet occults and are LESS likely to have vampire visits/be abducted/see mermaids/meet casters. (I imagine this pleasing both occult-haters AND the people who want an alien baby or vampire invasion...)
Part of me wants to suggest something family-ish, but I'm not sure how the mechanics on that would work. Mostly because I'm not sure what the opposite of a Family Sim is, and you set up most Lifestyles to be opposites. Is it Don Lothario doing the hundred baby challenge without raising the babies, or is it a couple that never has children or adopts?
