loading screen stuck when travelling

For some reason I am having so many issues with travelling in the sims. I play on Mac and have already tried reseting and repairing everything and that worked at first even with mods installed in the game. Then I noticed after using clubs I was no longer able to travel or play outside of my sims home lot or else it would be stuck on the loading screen. I deleted the clubs I made and removed my mods and the game is still not working and I am not sure what to do. I don't want to lose my save file either. 😭
