Lots in world (Nordhaven from Businesses and Hobbies) not loading

I recently got the businesses and hobbies pack and was downloading some lots from the gallery to customise Nordhaven. I was able to play them all, until I downloaded one lot (a cooking class business) that seemed to bug my game, as it did other commenters on the lot in the gallery.

I task manager'd off my game, then reloaded it, but now despite me being able to click on and enter Nordhaven, none of the lots appear (so I can't edit them, play in them, visit them, move Sims in, etc). I've disabled mods, repaired the game, disabled and re-enabled the expansion pack, and still nothing.

Would so appreciate if anyone could offer any help - TIA

  • izzzxzzzy​ It sounds like that lot has corrupted your save.  Do you have a save from before you installed that lot?  If so, I suggest you use that save.  If you don't have a separate save, you might be able to recover an earlier version of the corrupted save.  It all depends on if and when you installed that lot and saved.

    And you should test to see if the Nordhaven lots will show up and load by creating a new save.  If they don't, then you should try creating a new user folder.  Then move the backup or recovered save files into the saves folder in the new folder.  Once you're determined that things are working, then move over the mods, overrides, custom music folders, etc.

    Hey - no, I was playing just on one save. I created a new save and Nordhaven itself as a world isn't available - it comes up as if I own the pack but it hasn't been downloaded (I get a message saying something like 'this world will be available once the pack finishes downloading' when I'm in word select menu in my new save).

    For some reason, it did work randomly last night - as in the lots became available on my master save. But then after 30 minutes the exact same thing happened. This was without any changes made on my behalf so I don't know how to do them again/avoid them.

    Like you suggested I think I'm going to try create a new user folder, and start afresh. Many thanks for your help - I'll probably drop an update once I've tried!
