My Recorded Sims 4 videos won't play 2020

I recorded multiple videos using the "V" key in the Sims 4 but when I went back to play them, I get the message that they're not supported. I tried to play them both straight from the sims file and from the 'photos' file i transferred them to. They show up with the 'Films and Tv' Icon, i've tried to open it with that and the same message persists. I've tried opening it with Windows Movie Player and Photos but nothing. I was hoping to edit them on 'Video Editor (the app that comes with the pc) to speed them up but I can't get them to play. Do I need to change the format? If so, help! I have no idea how.
