My sims 4 wont launch since the 18/09/2024 update

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Pc
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Idk
What happens when the bug occurs? My sims 4 wont launch to the main game since the 18/09/2024 update
What do you expect to see? I should be able to get to my mine household when I click on resume my game
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. The new update for September 18th

My Sims 4 hasn’t launched past the main menu since the 18/09/2024 update. I updated all my mods that's needed to be updated for the new update tho.

gameplay issue

    @simslover99 Please move your mods folder to the desktop, delete Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > localthumbcache and then try again on a backup of your save to see of you can duplicate the issue on a game with no mods.

    This is also happening to me too.

    I've removed my mods folder, restarted my computer, cleared the cache in the EA app, repaired the game, and have gone in and edited the EA like lolomgcats recommended in a comment on this post from June.

    I'm currently doing a complete uninstall/reinstall of the entire game and will see if that fixes anything. I thought it was some CC in my mods folder but I'm doubtful about that at this point given everything I've tried to mitigate the issue. 

    I'll be bookmarking this thread and will report back if I find any fixes.
