Neighborhood stories re-enabled without permission

I've just openend my game and found that the neighborhoods are totally messed: Sims are in other houses, many of them have new babies, even the Goth family is currently not in world! I'm pretty sure that I didn't want this to happen so I disabled neighborhood stories long ago. However, I got into the menu today, and found that NS is enabled!! Sadly, I have no clue about when this started to happen, and I bet there's no much to do to fix it rather than disabling NS again and moving sims out. However, I think it's necessary to raise this alert, in sake of the other players.
