Hiya and thank you for all the suggestions you lovely folks!
I'm aware of the weather machine and the option to turn the stormy weather off. For my play style I wouldn't often use the weather machine since it's not a very realistic device and for this specific save it just kinda doesn't suit the world I've built. And as for the option to turn it off - this is the more feasible option in my mind but it's Quite The Hassle to keep toggling it on and off again since I play rotationally and this means changing not only households but worlds too. Also I would like the occasional thunder since it's definitely part of summer and therefore I wouldn't want to get completely rid of it. Just not all thunder all week please!
What I was hoping for was a more pleasant playing experience where I don't need to go back and forth with weather settings just because some world has its weather tuning too extreme. I am saying that in comparison to other worlds BB is too much, it's off-balance and that's something I think could be addressed by the devs. Maybe it's just me but in my opinion they didn't do a great job with how the weather is functioning in BB and I'm hoping it could be adjusted since it seems to be an exception among other worlds where the balance between different weather conditions is better and successfully portrays different local climates.
I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest to the dev team to rethink Brindleton Bay weather since I'm pretty sure minor adjustments would go a long way. Weather variation seems balanced to me in other worlds and I'm sure it could be in Brindleton Bay too.
