Owned residential rental not showing in business panel?

Question

I have no mods, game is fully updated and I have verified/repaired the game files twice on the EA app on my PC.

Playing on PC, recently installed For Rent and have the following issue:

I have built a residential rental that shows correctly on the map screen, my sim buys it but then it doesn't show up and says they don't own any rental lots. I sold it via the map screen and got them to buy another one I built and again it shows they don't own any.

I have tried going into build mode both on the lot and at my sims home as per reddit suggestions, but that doesn't work.

The game won't save either randomly, giving error code: 403:8e5010b7:5b944a44.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm fuming that I've paid for a DLC that I can't even use half of!
