Not much update related to any old bug fixes ...
Just saw another EA game got big discount and there is an announcement coming in October.
Hope EA is not selling itself to a company, who loves to turn all game model to a mobile game charging model like selling crown or monthly pass, it will simply kill all game series...
With respect, I'm not personally finding the Twitter side bar here any more informative. I'm not on Twitter and have no intention of joining. I feel like those discussions belong here. I don't see anything telling me when I'll be able to load my game without crashing or when graphics will finally be optimised for next gen consoles.
On here, some threads are just going on for years and we are still posting for help but engagement has stopped it seems. I'm feeling like it's gone backwards in terms of transparency and engagement. As an example, threads on crashing and console technical threads. We've got players using the word unplayable but we're not getting help.
So we need this transparency more than ever.
I also wonder, are discussions about Sims 5 going on with players on Twitter? Because I'm seeing some pretty left field ideas in the media about the future direction of the franchise and I don't see the players voices in those ideas. But of course, it's the creator's product and it's their prerogative to do with it as they see fit.

They are not posting anything on Twitter, the whole team is quiet without giving us any news. We don't even know if they are working on the game's bugs.
It seems like they forgot sims 4 and all infinite problems. - @JessicaMP2004 I wonder if radio silence is because of whatever the big announcement is, later this month in addition to Sims 4 base game going free play.
It's badly timed though if I may say so with things the way they are. All I've seen is media speculation from trusted news outlets like Digital Spy and another player posted a link to a talk by a senior team member on Sims 5 ideas.
I feel like it's building up to a Sims 5 starting point/concept reveal from media suggestions. But we kind of need more engagement on Sims 4 right now as they have already acknowledged and promised.
So I guess we watch this space and cross our fingers. - @simsplayer818
It's not the first time they've promised us more transparency, this has happened before and nothing has come of it. I just think they shouldn't put sims 4 aside because of a big announcement, after all he's in so much trouble that it's practically unplayable. We had a lot of time before this announcement and they didn't do anything. AHQ is buzzing with the game's bugs and issues and it's been weeks since anything has been fixed. We don't even know if the team is working on something. - Zasz_Zerg3 years agoRising Ace
That new twitter account for more effective communication hasnt tweeted anything in nine days. The original sims 4 account reduced tweets since then too.
This isnt better communication.
I think most people would not buy the Sims 5 if they abandon the Sims 4 without fixing all outstanding bugs that last for years.
There are other game companies killed their reputation by releasing buggy game. Those that still survive are the one who keep fixing their bugs. Others are gone and no more future series.
- After the big announcement of The Sims it seems that the community no longer cares about what is happening with the sims 4. They only talk about the sims 5 and are waiting for this big announcement. They are no longer asking EA to fix this damn game, they want to go to sims 5, they are saying that sims 4 is old and not worth it anymore. This is not right, if EA doesn't fix The Sims 4 bugs I won't buy sims 5, I'm tired of spending money on sims 4 and not even being able to play properly because the damn game is always broken. I went back to sims 2 and sims 3 and if it continues like this I will continue with them.

We're committed to releasing bug fixes, packs, kits and SDX items for the foreseeable future.

Glad to be reading this.
I've been playing sims since 2/4/2000 and I'm really sad to see what's happening with sims 4, I love them all, including sims 4.
I just wish they were more transparent as we are constantly posting about game issues and it seems like we are being ignored.
Please don't abandon sims 4 or the community…
Thanks for your answer, it's great to see you from EA around, it already means something.
I'm grateful for that.
