Plants won’t grow if Sim being played isn’t in the area

Plants (including wild plants) do not grow unless the sim being played is in the area. This limits the ability to harvest wild plants and then go home and plant them. If you aren’t on your home lot by 5 AM, your garden doesn’t grow that day. This seemed to start after installing Seasons. Initially encountered this issue on PS4, but it remains on PS5.

  • d2co5r6d1g7q  That is the way the game works with Seasons installed.  Seasons changed the time for plants to bear to beginning at 5 AM and finishing by 5:30 AM in the active zone.  They do not bear fruit in any other zone or world or any other time that day.  If you want to harvest wild plants in any other zone than the one your sim lives in, you have to go to that zone before 5 AM and wait until the plants in that zone generate their fruit.

If you have Get to Work, you will also find that the plants at the Laboratory will never bear fruit without using either a mod or cheats.  There is a bug report for that here.  [GTW] Scientist: Plants at science lab don't produce harvestables | EA Forums - 5038711.  So, you might want to read and upvote that.

    Hope this helps.
