Power keeps shutting off and won't cut back on

A gamechanger I watch on youtube was having this problem as well. It seems more like a bug to me because it should have the warning. Leaving the lot through manage worlds and reloading would sometimes work as a work around. But sometimes the gamechanger would have to restart the game. Either way the issue kept coming back and eventually they just moved lots.

It's good that a new mailbox fixes the issue, but what happens when you live in an apartment with an un-editable mailbox?
