Problems with Lost Drones?

Is anyone else having problems with lost drones? Sometimes they don't come back if you send them out to record stuff. But there are also other things that keep happening to my Sims and drones disappearing or getting lost. I think I have had to buy about 4 replacement drones now? Not to mention, the lost video that the drones had collected.

Some examples of how drones were lost.

1. Left drone at home and went to one of the festivals. Instead of leaving the festival, just bought a new drone. Used it to record and then when it was time to go home, you can't "travel" with the drone. It won't teleport with you. Tried to put it in my inventory but it said I couldn't do that because my sim didn't own the drone so, I had to leave the drone behind.

2. Drone literally just disappeared in front of my eyes. Sim was using the drone. Just clicked on the drone to start transferring video to the video station and it poofed away.

3. Getting lost after sending out to record neighborhood and not coming back.

4. NO IDEA. The drone just cannot be found in my Sims apartment. Her husband's drone is still there and so is her child's but hers is GONE. Searched all over the apartment and can't find it. They recently went on vacation to the Outdoor Retreat location so I even went back there to search for it. Found all the tents and other items they left there, but no drone.

Anyone else having problems with drones like this?

Drones should return to the sim and land in their inventory maybe. Drones getting lost, and in apartments it tend to land in the neighbours flat, behind the wall so the sim cant access it. I can se it, but i cant move it it build mode or drag it some where else so it can be picked up by the sim.
Visiting neighbour or goong somewhere else with a loading screen make the drone just dissapear for ever. Its not in the inventory of the sim, or in the storage in buy mode.
Just make it auto land inside the inventory, ive looked for a mod but cant find one.
Also, ive tried naming the drone and dont see what that is supposed to do other than it iave another name...?

@eremitt Actually I just used them not too long ago. When the drone's done, it now just vanishes and re-appears in my sim's home. Not very immersive but very hard to lose now.

@Psychotps Use what? A mod that add the drone to the home?
I want that, can you add the link to it.

@eremitt The drones. I don't have a mod or anything. I was just using the drone to record neighborhood footage. I was worried about losing it so I followed it around with the camera. At one point it just sank to the ground and vanished. I went back home and it was right next to my sim.

Wondering if it was a bug or glitch or something, I did it again later. It did the same thing. I assumed maxis fixed it or something.

@srcemojebabe You try moving around your furniture? It might have glitched underneath or behind something else.

I was having the same problem, went around the neighbourhood until I found it and was able to use the video footage. This was, of course, after I bought a new drone.

Well it's Sept 2022, just finished a cooking video with drone (ye I rename all my drones). Clicked stop recording on drone, while watching other Sims 8n the room interact, looked back.... No drone!! So is there a drone finder yet??
