After one of my sims summoned Sulani spirits i noticed a random chicken had appeared on the lot. Now, i know for sure i didn't instruct any of these four sims living here to order any livestock so i am baffled at how a random chicken is now part of my household. I thought it was part of the Sulani spirits event but they went after the timer counted down and now i have a random white rooster as part of my household. How did this happen with out my instruction?
Brd709 Where were you playing when the chickens showed up? If you were in the Sulani zone where the bar is located, there are wild chickens running around in that zone near the fishing dock pretty much all the time. One of them could have strayed on the lot you were playing.

CGrant56I was playing a lot in Newcrest at the time. One of the sims in this household has the child of the island trait and she was able to summon island spirits, i noticed the random chicken had joined their household after she had summoned the spirits. Do chickens and Sulani have a connection to each other that i've overlooked?
Brd709 There's not any connection that I know of. Chickens came with Cottage Living which was after Island Living. So, it's not a part of any Island Living activities, etc. I was thinking that if you were in the Sulani zone that has the bar, that you might be just seeing one of the wild chickens that are there as an environmental effect. But since you're playing in Newcrest, that's not it since those chickens are only in that one Sulani zone. You can't grab them either.
Can you grab the chicken on your lot in build mode? If you can, that's a sure sign that it's one of those from Cottage Living. And if it is, I have no idea why or how it showed up on your lot. It is a bit odd that it happened though. I haven't ever seen one in my game that randomly generated. I've only seen those that I bought and placed on one of my lots with a coop.

Brd709 Did you have a chicken coup on the lot before the chicken showed up? Just wondering if a household sim maybe bought one while you were occupied with another sim or something. I don't think that's an autonomous action though so maybe just some sort of one-off glitch. I've not heard of that happening before though.

Update on the random chicken, it eventually left the lot! I got no notification it was unhappy and it is no longer in any of the sims relationship panels. Very weird.
