Random Enchanting Introduction???

Hi,

I don't think this is a bug, therefore I post this here.

My active sim sometimes will random enchanting introduction with another sim, this very annoying me because he even random enchanting introduction to another male sim, an elder Sim, I don't want a male sim, an ugly old woman sim appeared with a romance relationship bar. I have ever seen an elder townie enchanting introduction to my sim.

I hope Romancing introduction can only be trigger by player.

  • @derrick1124 I'm not sure of all of the triggers for this, but the only sim I ever had who spontaneously would do an enchanting introduction was a spy. He had gotten to the top of the career, which included topping out charisma. He was happily married, and this bothered me... I ended up switching careers (there is some 'flirting' stuff in the spy goals/tasks - while they're at work). I did not have an ongoing issue, though he obviously still had '10' in charisma. So... I wasn't sure what the scope of factors were that caused this, but the change of career and behavior seemed to fix it.

If you have a sim they are having this issue with you could try some negative interactions with them to take the relationship down. If your sim has a gh charisma you could lower it via cheats.

  • @SheriGR This seems can be a temporary solution but the sim still appeared on my Romance Relationship list with a zero or negative romance relationship bar. My solution was using Mod to "forget the sim" to clear the unwanted sim appeared on my list.

I hope anyone from EA CS could see this, most player don't want to see their married sim still flirting around and cause chaos to their family relationship.

@derrick1124 Yeah that unintentional/ unwanted Romance Relationship bar really bugs me too! Other than using mods the only way I have been able to make it go away is to wait until the relationship naturally decays and disappears. This can take MANY days so that's hardly a preferable option, but some players would rather not use mods and console players don't even get the option. In theory the relationship.destroy {yoursimID} {targetsimID} cheat might also work but I have never tried it.

I have learned to keep a very close eye on my Sim's dialogue queue and if I see a "heart" symbol I know some kind of Romantic interaction is about to happen and I cancel it as fast as I can!

@RandomBuzziness @derrick1124 I agree 100%! Some people may like to play differently, but the way I play my sim relationships this type of behavior is definitely upsetting to me. It makes no sense to me. If you got your romance bar all the way down it should disappear and there should be no spontaneous romantic action for a normal sim. I could see if they had a serial romantic trait or something, but I don't like feeling I'm fighting against this type of thing. I'm fine with some push-back, but I don't care for this type in my game.

@SheriGR This is the main reason I started using mods in my game. I get very annoyed when I look at my Sim's Relationships panel and see some random townie she had maybe one unsolicited and unintentional interaction with showing up as "Romantic" & there is no way to remove it. Something like this occurs far too often in places like nightclubs or lounges and if you are playing multiple Sims it is way too easy to miss and not stop it in time. 😞
