@Bluebellflora it definitely isn’t the T.O.O.L mod, I mean I’m not 100% familiar with it as I don’t use it but I’m certain you can’t use it to place flooring and wallpaper correct? In addition, a lot of game changers on YouTube have posted videos prior to public release of the game where they have been able to fully use the balcony. As we were told by them and see they we’re given early release which restricted all packs but base game and eco lifestyle and no ability to enable mods. I’ve attached a picture from Kayla’s (lilsimsie) video. The balcony was a fully functioning part of the apartment prior to the official release of the game.
It would make sense for you to not be able to BUILD on balconys--add extra walls, etc--but to not even be able to place buy items on the balcony seems like a HUGE oversight. If I can't put a vertical garden or a lounge chair on the balcony, then what's even the point of having it?

I totally agree with you, and it's disappointing.
I can understand not being able to change it (like the size/materials. Which is generally true for real apartments. But I can at least put patio furniture out on my apartment balcony in San Myshuno. If they can't be edited in game, I'd at least hope for some basic furniture to already be there. Like a lounge chair and a small table maybe. I really hope there will be a fix for this in the future, I ditched that apartment renovation halfway through when I couldn't edit it at all. Even if it was only like the camping stuff that you can drag into your inventory and then place.
