@JasonD716 I'm sorry, but I still couldn't find any lightweight portable laptops with gaming graphics cards for under $1,500 CAD. The two cheapest options I found were these:
Even if you did get one, you'd be paying several hundred dollars more for about half a pound less of weight, which doesn't seem like a great deal.
If you know someone in the U.S. who could order for you, I've seen the Asus Zephyrus G14 occasionally on sale for as low as $1,000, not including sales tax, which would be cheaper than Canadian prices. Or maybe you'll see it on sale from Best Buy Canada if you watch for a while.
Other than that, you'll need to decide what's more important to you and compromise on the other half. Does the laptop have to be extremely lightweight, or can it weigh a bit more? I've given you some good options in that department. Do you absolutely want a laptop that can run all packs on ultra graphics settings, or would high settings be okay? You could get a laptop with an MX450 for under $1,500:

And I linked one with an MX350 earlier, although it's certainly not the only option. The point is, it really feels like what you're looking for isn't out there, and no amount of waiting is going to make much difference.
- @puzzlezaddict Ok since it’s a new year do you think new laptops will come out with around what I’m looking for
- @puzzlezaddict Could the first set play high setting to ultra if so can you lists the one that can
@JasonD716 From my last post, the Asus Zephyrus G14 and the Asus Zenbook both have an Nvidia 1650 and should therefore both be able to run Sims 4 on ultra graphics settings. (This is just about this particular Zenbook; many models come with much slower graphics cards or chips.) The MSI with the MX450 should be able to handle high settings, possibly ultra if you don't install some of the expansion packs, but it's impossible to give you an exact prediction.
This is the start of a new cycle for graphics cards, meaning that new releases are full price and older ones are occasionally cheaper. So you could watch for sales of the laptops you like, knowing you might save $200-300 if you get lucky, but you also might not see a sale for months. Or you could wait to see what lightweight options come out with an Nvidia 3050, which is the 1650 of this generation, i.e. much faster and eventually the same price. But the lightweight options could be six months away, and you won't know what they cost until they're released.

@JasonD716 Either version of that laptop should run Sims 4 on ultra settings. The Nvidia 1650 is the same card as the one in the other laptops we've been talking about, and the more expensive version is the same as this one that I linked a couple days ago:
except for the difference in storage.
You don't need the stronger processor in the more expensive configuration; the other processor is more than fine for Sims 4 on whatever settings you want to use.
@JasonD716 No. Again, its graphics card, an MX350, may be able to handle high settings, but ultra would likely be out of the question with all or most expansions installed.
- @puzzlezaddict Ok I think I’m gonna go with the Lenovo one I found for now
- Psychotps5 years agoSeasoned Ace@JasonD716 Lenovo's are usually a very good middle-ground. I've purchased thousands upon thousands of computers for my company over the years. Dell, Lenovo and HP's.
Dells are the best for quality, but you'll have to pay a bit more for it. Superb customer service. You want GOOD hardware, go Dell.
Lenovo's are decent quality, and a bit cheaper because they really want business and are willing to do whatever it takes to get it. Good quality hardware. Decent customer service.
HPs are total garbage. Customer service is horrible. Techs don't know squat. I bought 3 monitors from them once, they LITERALLY fell apart taking them out of the box. The best place for an HP is the garbage.
