@tumtum1177 From the patch notes here:
If you don’t want to be reminded and you know all the controls by heart, you can turn off the Controls Overlay Reminder in the Game Options > Other menu

I went into the other menu and it said that the control overlay was off. I tried turning it on and applying the changes then turning it off and applying the changes and it is still displaying them.
@tumtum1177 Were you in a save specifically? I went in the CAS and was able to turn them off from inside a save when editing a sim from manage households.
