Re: [FAQ] The Sims 4 and Chromebooks

I'm not familiar with Chromebook, but if it functions like a PC, it should just be a matter of having the game installed through Origin on the Chromebook.

If you're looking to import saves, mods, and that like as well, you may need to copy those files from the Documents folder manually, and transfer them over to the Chromebook via an external device, such as a Flash Drive, or using a cloud-based software like Dropbox or Google Drive.

Once again, I'm not familiar with Chromebook, so if we're dealing with a whole different Operating System as opposed to what you have on your PC, the file location and functionality may be different.

The Sims 4 won't run on a Chromebook. Chromebooks usually aren't strong enough to run the game on. And it runs its own OS which isn't recognized by The Sims 4.

Thanks for the correction, kreatora; I've never used one, so I was mostly treating it as a transfer between two PCs.

As a technical note for though that want to know cromebook runs android OS or google OS.  However, there may be a work around if you have a powerful enough internet you can stream games from your pc to your cromebook.
