Re: High Maintenance trait

I haven't played with that trait, but I've seen Sims YouTubers use it and it looks extremely annoying. My understanding is that they're in an almost constant state of emotional debuff unless you send them to the spa, etc.

I personally don't like really overbearing moodlets and debuffs. I've recently started playing with Lifestyles again (which was a shock to me!) after I gifted a friend Snowy Escape and she had fun with them, but I also downloaded Bienchen's overhaul to make them harder to get and to make the debuffs less overbearing. Shock--they're actually fun like that instead of annoying!

On the other hand, one piece of feedback that the Team has been getting is to make traits more meaningful, so... I don't know why High Maintenance feels different to me from, say, hot-headed or gloomy, but it really does. Perhaps it feels artificial?

@xochiquetzl_xkvn Uff, I turned off lifestyles, they annoyed me so much! Some were just contradictive and the other times it was too artifical. There was no transition or something in between, it was really annoying me.

I might try that one day. I was always the one who never wanted any mods, but when I really really started playing the game, I realised how much they are needed, and confused as why EA just does not include some things, and make other things annoying. Had to download a mod that stops family members to think about them, since that is all they do 😮‍💨

But yes, I wish they had more traits and more personality, but the way they make them is very dry and it goes into overboard mode, at least in my opinion. Like cool you had a crazy dream, and it made you tense, but for 8 hours? That is a lot in Sims, also nobody irl thinks about their dream for 8 h if they even remember it. It's not what I expected it would be, but will try and work with it.
