@OceanRose73 Yup, blaming mods is the majority solution you will get in these forums, even if you don’t use any lol. I reloaded a fresh sims 4 folder and still got a loading issue. I am now switching from dx9 to dx11 (since my laptop can support it) again and doing batch fixes on cc to see if that gets anything fixed. Because some lots started loading. EA just patched again today. So I can’t imagine what new issues I will encounter. I’m not even playing the game since Lovestruck. All I been doing is fixing issues after each patch. If I have not paid so much for this game and been a fan since sims 1 I would have trashed it a long time ago and not bothered. I know for sure I will never get another game from EA. I am trying to fix it on my own as well since the advice I got was to read about some other stuff that someone thinks I haven’t already looked at. People actually think an EA forum is where I come first to get issues solved. It’s more like a last ditch effort to generate some creative solutions and people actually recognizing that this is a far bigger issue than a lot challenge (which I do not use). I found two responses that have other ideas of why this is happening. It gives me ideas to try looking into potential innovative solutions. After the for rent patch plumbotkingdim’s save file was corrupted and some lots stopped loading. The save file still doesn’t work (despite having no cc or mods). Now PK doesn’t use cc or most mods so clearly that is not the issue. Except he uses tool and moo. I strongly believe that the issue started with for rent (if not the castle kit since before that crashing and loading was not a thing). Therefore I think the issue is connected to either tool builds or moo. I don’t know what EA did in the patch but they did not run all checks. And on one hand people will excuse it and say tool is a build mod. Sure, but at this point it is a staple of sims 4. Meaning 99% of great builders and best creations (some featured on gallery) are build using it. When you have a mod with that much impact on the game you should acknowledge its impact when patching. Many people get the game because they can build with the freedom tool affords them, the unleashing of creativity and imagination EA promises. So ignoring its world changing abilities and building features is just shortsighted. If you are not a builder but a “player” you definitely downloaded lots from gallery that were made with tool that have no cc (you might not realize it). I think that the patch has not considered lots created with the tool mod and they broke corrupting save files. You can probably use basic lots but if you try using anything more elaborate it will get corrupted on load screen because the game can’t load it. Since you cannot tell which lot used tool it’s at this point a game of luck. That is just my theory. I might be wrong, but it’s quite possible. Basically EA managed to ruin build mode. The one feature that allowed players to be creative and imaginative without dealing with poor autonomy, lack of animation and bad coding. I strongly believe that the load issue is related to tool or rather freedom it affords. See you can build with it then load it to gallery and you don’t need to have tool in order to use the lot. So your game doesn’t need to be modded. So what is sims game not loading or what is preventing loading all the way. That my theory. Either way I’m determined to find some way for the game to load but also hope ea will finally acknowledge that some mods are persistent even if you don’t use mods and they should be acknowledged in any update.
