Re: Please stop destroying the sims 4 for money and greed

@Kirby5692 , My version of TS3 lagged horribly!!! Not only that it would grind to a halt, for several minutes and then crash! 😞 And the lagging started happening fairly soon , like within the first year, but it wasn't that bad at first.  TS4 only just started lagging a small amount for me , and that is after over 6 years of playing! (I had all expansions of TS3, and I have all of them for TS4).  But I"m sure other people have different experiences with TS4 and lagging.
I would often wait on TS3 for anywhere from 5 - 20 min (occasionally more) for my game to stop lagging, only to lag again within 10 seconds sometimes. This is far worse than the mere 10 to 30 seconds it usually takes for a loading screen in TS4!

There seems to be a wide range of experiences with TS3's performance. 🤨 I had what was supposed to be a mid range computer. But it was enough of a problem for EA to decide to make TS4 a semi-open world (more open than TS2, but not as open as TS3).  I much prefer the loading screens because they are very short and let me actually play my game! 🙌

I respect your opinion and I am glad you are enjoying TS4 but for me it lags, freeze for absoultely no reason even after I have updated everything. They say they have improved performance but they clearly haven't they just lied about it, they removed all the essential feature for what? Nothing. Releasing low quality expension packs and expecting everyone to pretend they are cool with it.

If you post your dxdiag (PC)/system profile (Mac) in the relevant tech forum here there are plenty of helpers who can help you with what may be causing the lag 🙂

I just don't understand why they would destroy this beautiful concept for money they lie to their consumers about the fact that they can't do an open world when a brookheights mod proves them wrong. They are destroying there own game for the sake of money. The truth will come out at some point.

@Kirby5692 Brookheights did not "prove them wrong." If anything, the problems people have had with that mod (especially with the apartments) has proven them right.

I'm sorry that you don't like the fact that they had to make changes so that the game would function better than TS3 did. But they did the changes to *save* the game and make it more accessible to more people.
  • I value your opinion and honestly I am glad that you are enjoying the game. In my opinion they didn't save the game they only made it 10x worse the game lags like crazy even on medium to low settings for no reason which is absolutely weird. Also how is removing core features from the previous titles saving the game. Overall, I am grateful for your enjoyment for the game but this wasnt what I had expected especially from the Hype that TS3 was.

Also I am new to the franchise, so I started with TS3.

@Kirby5692 , my favorite version of the Sims was TS2!  It got a little bit laggy at the end of its run, but nothing like TS3 for me and TS4 for you! 🤨  I'm really sorry you are having such hard times with TS4! 😭  I know how frustrating it is to not be really able to play your game! 😞  I hope you can find a solution! 🤞🙏

Thank you for your kind reply. I managed to get good performance by updating my graphics and doing some optimization with my computer. The game looks and plays absolutely great although it does lag sometimes especially with the Open world and world edit mod but other than that its great. EA should really listen to the community instead of lying all the time. The Sims 4 has so much potential especially with the new update that adds sentiments that actually improves the gameplay. If you don't believe that The Sims 4 has potential then this screenshot will prove you wrong.

@Kirby5692 , sorry it took so long for me to reply.  i've had some real life issues that I needed to attend to.

I don't doubt that Sims 4 has potential, but I know that some other people do doubt it.  And now they have given Likes and Dislikes in addition to the Sentiments that you mentioned earlier.  They have also listened to players about adding skintones and improving some of the darker skin tones that were messed up, improving some base game hair textures, and giving us 6 more natural hair shades!  They finally put my hair color in the game, which is astounding that we went this long without some of these since a lot people have my shade of brown! 😃😅

I'm also very happy to hear that you got your computer running better for your games!!! 🙌🤩🥳🙌
