@Spectre958 , do you have the Eco Lifestyle EP?🤔 This sounds like one of the NAP's (Neighborhood Action Plans) that come with that pack in which you vote on different NAPs. The particular one that causes this behavior is called Sharing is Caring. If that one is enacted anywhere in your save file then NPC;s will barge in and steal things! 😢
You can do a few things to stop this. In your current save you can go into Game Options and choose to disable NPC voting. That will prevent any NPC's from voting and only allow you to vote. You can also try to repeal the NAP by clicking on the community bulletin board or you mailbox. I think you need 10 Influence points to start the process. Then you convince them to repeal it.
You can also use a cheat to get rid of it.
Open your Cheat Box and in it type testingcheats on and press Enter (on a PC, I don't know what you press on a console version). You will get a message in the cheat box saying it is enabled.
Then you can Shift-click on your mailbox and choose Instant Repeal Neighborhood Action Plan (Cheat)... and then pick which one to repeal. 🙂
If the Sharing is Caring NAP is enacted in a neighborhood that you don't live in, (but those NPC's that are stealing your stuff live in) then you will have to play a Sim in that neighborhood and do one of the above methods to get rid of it, either through gameplay or the cheat.
In the future for new game save files, just make sure this NAP is never enacted by disabling NPC voting in the Game Options menu, or making sure any other NAP wins the vote (preferably an NAP that you want. If you do a lot of friendly actions your Sim will gain Influence points that can be used to vote on the NAP you want. You can vote multiple times as long as you have enough influence points. But if that is too difficult then just turn off NPC voting in the Game Options. 😉

@Spectre958 , hmmm... my next guess was if you had the City Living or Island Living EPs but that can't be it either if you have no packs installed! 🤨
Are you playing on a console or on a PC or Mac? If you are on a PC or Mac do you happen to play with any Mods or Custom Content (CC)? 🤔- @PugLove888 I do have some CC. If that content is programmed to be compatible with the EPs I suppose it's possible to add some features. I'll have to look into backrolling the content to see if any have a direct effect.
