Roof Trim?

@Amber-Stephens I'm not sure if I'm understanding the question correctly, so please bear with me as I clarify. When you're saying that the roof trim stays when the roof is removed, and it doesn't stay when the roof is there, I will try to ask a few questions and use examples, hoping I can clarify what you're asking:

First, This is my barn, which has both Roof Trim (which attached to the roof) and Exterior Trim (which is attached to the wall):
