Sims 4 can’t make potions in the cauldron

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I’ve been unable to find an answer to my issue elsewhere. I have a spellcaster that was able to make potions with no issues for about a week (in real life). This is a new legacy with one sim and a cat in a house. Then a couple days ago, I play again and I’m unable to make potions. The weird thing is it’s an inconsistent issue that I can’t understand.

All other interactions work on all of the cauldrons. However, I will only be able to make certain potions at certain locations (this varies as well). Sometimes I can make a couple at home and the next time I come and go from home I can’t. Same with when I travel through the portal in glimmerbrook. Same issue with those cauldrons.  The potions that I’m able to create vary as well. It’s never the same or the same location. When I click on the cauldron, and then potions, I see the list of potions. The ones that I have all the ingredients for are clearly bold and clickable. I click it, but my sim doesn’t begin the action. My sim doesn’t react. Nothing happens. It’s bizarre. I ask her to experiment, super easy, she just walks over and starts experimenting like there is no issue. Making me a little nuts at this point lol. The times where the action works for creating potions, I click one of the bold text potions that she has all ingredients for and she goes right over and starts cooking the potion. 

It’s one of the weirdest issues I’ve had. I tried taking all mods out and that didn’t work either. My game is up to date and I’m not having any other issues. I’ve tried completely emptying my inventory with only what I need to make the potion. I’ve tried resetting my sim and the cauldrons. I’ve tried deleting the cauldron at home and placed a new one. I tried going to a different lot and coming back. I tried playing a different household and coming back. Also, I exited out of the game completely several times, but that did not help. I’ve seen several people on other platforms like Reddit explain this issue, but it was years ago and never updated. The one person did respond to me, but they never figured it out and gave up on the save. Any help is very much appreciated. I’m loving this legacy challenge and I really need to make these potions. Thank you!
