Sims 4 Crashing In Build Mode

I'm suddenly having issues with the game. Mid build my game crashed whilst hiding walls. I restarted my laptop and loaded up the game, it's crashed again two minutes in. I have removed all mods and its still crashing as soon as I hide walls or move doors etc.

I had been playing for 3 hours before the crash and never experienced anything like this before.

Any ideas on how to solve this? I just get a "not responding" pop up, no error message. All my drives are updated and so is Windows.

I'm running off an Acer Nitro 5. Laptop isn't overheating and I'm running with an 8gb ram and when running the game it doesn't exceed this.

NOTE: further investigation. It only freezes on the current build. No other lot. Bulldozing the lot and placing the partial build still causes it to crash even on a different lot. I didn't use any CC on this lot, only move objects. I removed all curved walls and now the lot is working fine. The curved walls were the issue!! Has this happened to anyone else?

  • @megadegdeg I moved this to PC tech.

Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?

    - Press Windows-Key + R
    - Type: DxDiag
    - Click on Save all Information.

  • @megadegdeg  Curved walls may well be the issue, so please test them on a different lot.  Rather than using your existing build, create a new one from scratch.  It doesn't need to be fancy; just try building the outline of your old lot, more or less, with the same curved walls, and see what happens.
