Hey!
My name is Tonje and I'm a player of Sims 4. It's my favorite game to play. And not long ago I had this idea for The Sims 4. I thought maybe that the next expansion pack could be Farming! I have a lot of ideas for the pack and I would definitely invest in buying that pack. I think a lot of other Sims players also would love it! I was thinking that you get a new world and if you want to have a farm you have to buy it like you have to buy a restaurant. You get cows, chickens, sheep's and pigs! (And maybe horses that you could ride. Just for the fun of it) And you could do different things with them, like with the cow you could milk it. You could collect egg from the chickens and collect wool from the sheep! And for example so could those who had a farm make food that others couldn't, because they don't have fresh ingredients like the farmers. The farmers could make food with the fresh milk and eggs. And they could make for example a blanket or a sweater with the wool they get from the sheep. And of course there should be different tasks to do, because farming isn't easy. You'd have to take care of the animals, the crops and the rest of your landscape. I have a lot of other ideas for this pack, but this is just some of it. I just thought it was a fun idea and I think a lot of people would have loved the pack!

@Frosketryne12, this idea has been suggested ever since Cat & Dogs was released in November of 2017 , especially since there were not horses added to that pack (and people ecpected them since TS3 had horses in the same pack as dogs and cats) , and having a farm or ranch would be a perfect way to incorporate them while still giving players something new that no other version of the game has had.🙌

Also, while I can't be certain that they are actually making a farm pack, I think they might already be working on one. This is because last fall, right before Discover University was released, the Developers (Sim Gurus) had a Guru Garage on Twitch were one of the Gurus came late to the livestream and when asked by the others what he had been doing to make him so late, he replied "Oh, I've been busy working down on the farm!" and then he stifled a smile! 🤨 Yes, he could be joking, but why anger players by doing that? Especially since Sim Gurus have been known to drop hints like that before! 🤔
As for the animals, while I love pigs, I don't think they would be included since you would have to kill the pigs to have them be useful . 😞 Besides horses, think they would stick to cows, chickens, sheep and maybe llamas! 🙂 Also, before the Community picked Knitting as the theme for the next stuff pack, many players have been hoping for sheep or llamas for the wool and then we were hoping we could knit or weave with that wool! So, if EA/Maxis does make a farm pack, they very well could incorporate any wool into the Nifty Knitting SP that is about to come out! 🙌 I'm also hoping for some crops like wheat, corn, rye, and oats! 🥳
@PugLove888, I didn't now that this had been talked about before, but I think that is good because then its more likely to be a future expansion pack! You have some very good ideas for the pack and I really hope EA will make this pack! 😊
@Frosketryne12, I really hope so too! 😇 The Sims franchise has never had a farming pack before. The closest was when TS3 had horses with the Pets Expansion Pack, and there was also a horrible online store called the Sims 3 Store where you could either redeem points and/or use real money to buy extra content -- in the Sims 3 Store there was a cow and chicken you could download and get milk and eggs from, but it was way over priced so I never got it, although I have seen YouTube videos of it! But it wasn't anything like a whole farm, and it technically wasn't a pack.
I've been wanting a farm pack ever since the original The Sims!!! That was right after the Sims Unleashed EP (that gave us dogs and cats) that I got the idea. I made a farm family and just gave them a large garden and a dog and a cat and put them in an old-fashioned house! 😃 That was about 18 years ago so I've been waiting a long time😞 🤨 But at that time I thought I was the only person who would want this sort of pack. It wasn't until TS4 and the Cats & Dogs EP that people really started to say they also wanted a farm pack! 🙌
Hopefully they are making the pack now, or if they aren't I hope they will make one eventually! 🤞🥳❤️
