At least chickens and coops and runs as a minimum. Maybe chickens alone could be a whole new expansion pack? Chickens are so hyped now irl so it’s time for The Sims to join the chicken trend. More farm animals, yes please, if possible.
Facts: chickens eat seed, worms, insects, weed and food left overs etc. The sims could give them the weed after having removed it from their plant and they can give them their food left overs instead of throwing it away. Seed already exist in the game but they need grain.
Chicken wired runs could look super nice with buildable coops and hen houses. They need little hatching areas, flap doors, plank steps, water and fodder automats, perch, straw beds, sand baths. If not properly fenced, the fox can come. 😱 Roosters should wake up at sunrise and let all sims know it’s morning. 😂 Coops need to be cleaned and dung can be used as fertilizer. New straw needs to be spread on the floor. Chicken tend to get flees, especially if the coop isn’t regularly cleaned and if they don’t get sand baths. Flees itch and the chickens have to be taken to the vet to be powdered with an anti-flee powder. Yes, it is contagious. Eggs should be layed and picked to be cooked or fried as omelette, souffle etc. Some eggs could be hatched into baby chicks either by the hen or hatching machines of different brands and prices. The more expensive machine, the more luck with the hatching. Sims should be able to sell eggs, chickens and roosters at road sale booths or hay markets. They could have market competitions on who’s got the most beautiful rooster. Maybe the hens occationally could lay a golden egg and make their owners rich. In the spring the eggs suddenly come in all sorts of colours and patterns, alternatively the sims can paint them. Naughty sims might hide in the bushes and throw eggs on passing sims. Occasionally hens drop feathers and the sims can use them to make nice decorations. Cats love to scare chickens now and then but can’t really catch them.

@NennaRC , I love the idea of hens laying different colored/patterned eggs in the spring! I like the golden egg idea too! 🙌
@ela5279 , yes! 🙂 A farmers market would satisfy 2 wants in the community. Obviously this would require a farm , but people also really want to shop for groceries in the game like we could in previous versions of The Sims! Your farmers market idea would be perfect! 🙌
