Sims aging up way faster than they should

I have all the expansion packs, kits etc. I don't have any mods. I have many families I play with. Today I log into a family and the child that was half way through being a kid was suddenly at the end of their child age and aged up to a teen! Their parents aged up. Even the cat aged up! I checked another family - same thing!

I have the aging set to the slowest setting and aging should only be happening to the family I am playing at the time. 

What is going on?!?
