Sims constantly cook food

PC, Windows 11, fully updated game, repaired game, with and without CC, packs up to life and death

In addition to the already reported issues of sims constantly eating group meals, they have now begun to constantly cook meals.  God help you if there's a grill on the lot.  They bypass food in the fridge, on the counter, on the picnic table, on the floor, etc. to make another batch of grilled food.  They've begun to bypass leftovers after I manually stop them from eating dish after dish in order to make new food that they then leave to rot.  Then they'll go back to the leftovers and start the cycle all over again.  They're literally spending hundreds of dollars just cooking and eating.  All sims, all ages, all lots.  Tested without CC - still an issue.  No new mods.  No new packs.  Nothing changed other than opening the EA app and starting the game.  I enjoy autonomy.  I don't WANT to turn it off, but at this point, I'm beginning to think that all autonomy is so broken, I'm going to be forced to do so.  Which takes the fun out of the game for me.  And as much as this shouldn't have to be said, games are supposed to be FUN, and this one is rapidly losing what little charm it has left due to constant issues.

    • Did you remove mods as well or just cc ? Please pick a thread tag for your mod usage.
    • What platform are you playing on (PC, Mac, Playstation, XBox). Please pick a thread tag for that.
    • Does this happen on all lots or just a specific one ?
    • Does it happen on all saves or just a specific one ?
    • Do you have any NAPs active ?

I'm sorry, I thought I had added tags when I posted.  I did remove all mods and CC.  There are no NAPs active, and I play with them disabled via game settings.  The lot in question is Vista Quarry in Oasis Springs.  HOWEVER, it was a copy of that lot, placed on an adjacent empty lot in the same neighborhood.  It was copied and placed with no alterations while unoccupied, but the other (original) version of the lot does not have the same issue, although at least twho other lots in the neighborhood do.  I begin to suspect that this instance may be caused by some instability caused by copying that lot since the behavior did not appear until after playing this lot.  Perhaps a corruption.  I'm going to move on to a different neighborhood with future families and continue to monitor their behavior.  If any new pattern or issue arise, I'll update.  Otherwise, this may be a non issue in spite of the hours spent trying to make sure I didn't just make a random report.

I would say go ahead and just close this.  Between the wonky updates and cc issues and new saves, this issue hasn't happened again, and quite frankly, I'm fairly done with this game at this point.

    Hi Displaced_Salad

I moved this to the gameplay forum then.

If you do decide to play on and continue to have issues, I'll be happy to take a look at your save.
