sims in my household cant speak to their household

Could you please provide the following information

• Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do

Questions because of the thread tags you choose.

• Does this make your game crash/lag or is the crashing/lagging independent ? If so, when does that happen ?
• Please post any error codes you're getting ?

i do not use mods. I play on a PC. it just say "invite in" when they both live there. Ive tried repairing the game and stuff but they still can not talk to each other. When i try to make them interact it lags

does one of them have a neighbor tag above the head if you hover over them ?

Does it happen with other households too ?
