HI @epaor An unconventional range of names for Sims is part of the game for Horse Ranch. I have a Sim named Pony, for example. There might be a mod that will block the Horse Ranch name list, but I can't recall one offhand. You can, however, go into Manage Households and edit those Sims' names.

I could do that yes, but I think it shouldn't be happening.
Especially translated to other languages.
I could tolerate a sim named Pheasant, but not gonna tolerate it translated to Polish, which is Bażant.
This is just not it and for me it's a bug. - LadyAofPineapple2 years agoSeasoned Ace@luthienrising Honestly, I have a new sim named Arrowhead, and I thought it was her Native American name.
@epaor what do those names in the screenshots mean when translated?- 2 years ago@LadyAofPineapple
bay (as a horse color), archer and juniper.
Which, as I said, sounds okay in English and if they would appear in English, I'd have no problem with that.
They just sound out of pocket in Polish, especially with English last names like here. Mixing languages is ridiculous.
Tracking down every single culprit to change their name is so much work and even then you have no guarantee you changed all of their names.- LadyAofPineapple2 years agoSeasoned Ace
@epaorI think I understand, however, I'm at a disadvantage to truly understanding first hand, being a native English speaker and living in and playing in the US. That said, since the Sims team has expanded across the globe, perhaps it is users such as yourself who can provide more insight to the department responsible for translating, including names. Hopefully the EA community managers here (including @EA_Cade who has weighed in on this post already) can pass along your feedback.
I hope you are enjoying your day otherwise!
