i updated my game a few days ago and purchased two new packs. since then I have not been able to play. Every time I go into a save and press play I go back into the manage World menu. I thought it was mods so I updated them all and I still have the same problem. I’ve disabled all mods and still have the same issue.
Could it be related to DirectX 11? That's the default for Sims 4 now, but I think you can reset it to an earlier version in the options settings. A few people in the Steam forum said that this solved their problems - stuck on loading screens, game not starting at all... maybe it's worth a shot to see if changing the settings to DirectX 9 helps 😀
Do you get any error code when booted back to the map ?
Have you tried to do a game repair? Try that. If not, you can do the more drastic measure of regenerating a new game folder. Rename your current folder by adding a dot, as in Sims 4.old. Start your game and voila, a new game generates. Once that's done, you can replace the empty saves folder for your now Sims 4.old folder, same with mods and your Tray. If this doesn't solve the problem, you can uninstall and reinstall or contact AHQ for help.
