Your Sims will now be able to dress their cats and dogs in fresh outfits. Yes, it’s happening, people. Pet costumes are in the building. Your furry besties can now strut in style! I'm a bit iffy so far. About the only thing that really interests me from what I can see from the pack is the aquarium table. I'm not huge on dressing up pets, but that likely is just due to real life - unless it is a hairless or has very short fur, it doesn't need to be wearing clothes. Yeah, I get this is a game, so go at it if you want to play dress up with your virtual pet... I like animals in general, but am most in love with cats. Minus the add-on clothes and some furniture decor that may help with the house... I definitely see this more as a pack targeted for children Sims with most of the new furniture available and as the title indicates, "My First Pet Stuff".I see the merits, though. Those who like to accessorize their Sims in CAS, those who did want smaller pet availability and creating things more suitable for kids who are indeed just getting their first pets now have more things to express their love for animals. Kudos to that.While I cannot see most of the pack containing anything that would be useful to the type of Sims I've made, I do think it could have been a bit more or had been made into a bigger pack or separate packs. Unless that table isn't really an aquarium, but a terrarium instead... I think if you were going to go with more pet options, that should have been separate - maybe even an expansion.The four options for the rodent-based pets is great. The fact that I saw a turtle rug... I think there should have been a "Small Pets" pack. It could have been dedicated to the rodents, the birds, the reptiles and the insects. It could have had all the accessories for the pets that fit in those niches. The rodents seem well taken care of, birds could have had option cages or perches/rests, reptiles and insects could have had nice terrarium options. Then of course extra stuff to decorate their little homes, like toys, scenery to decorate terrariums and such. Then of course for the human aspect things that are themed towards said pets: Furniture, clothes, art and stuffed animals that represent them, calendars that feature each type, water dispenser options and little food bowls to decide on and customize. Maybe even the small pets could have little clothes if one wanted to go that far.Then for a stuff pack, that would be where all the new stuff for the cats and dogs would enter. The more pet bed options, the cat condos, all the clothes that seem to make them match their owners or costumes to make them look sillier(cuter?) than before, the cat and dog themed furniture, the aquarium table... A dog house perhaps could have been added? A pet sitter service for when your Sims go on vacation? Maybe even give the cats and dogs rockets they can go on an adventure on. The rodents are able to!All in all, the pack strikes me as okay. It seems a bit jumbled to me, though. Until I'm able to see all that really does come in the pack and if said stuff has enough items to make it seem worth it... I'm still a bit on the fence here.

Concentrate on things like seasons and university!"And while I also want those things, to my understanding there are different teams working on different packs, so it's not like there are fewer people working on the next expansion pack just because there's a new stuff pack! Also, I've read a lot of posts here on the forum, and there are so many people that want more animals, so I think this is great for them! 🙂

It makes it so easy to find news like this! 😎 This SP looks sooooo adorable! ❤️ I am very pleased that the new pet isn't just in a tank/cage/box, but that it has an exercise wheel, habitrail, and a rocket ship!?!?!? 😮🤨😃:eahigh_file:(How do you spell "habitrail"? 🤔 Maybe it is spelled "habi-trail"? 🤔 And now I want to know what they are called in other languages!)And I must say I absolutely love that new round aquarium coffee table! As a child there was a pizza parlor near my house that had an aquarium coffee table (but theirs was a large square.) I always wanted one but my mom is afraid of all rodents. Scorpions, snakes, black widow spiders are no problem for her; a hamster or a gerbil will undo her completely! 🤨 😃 :eahigh_file: Also, I always have loved habi-trails so I'm happy these are in the pack, along with a decal of one that I saw on the children's bedroom wall.🙂I love the Stuff Packs! (Of course my number 1 want is for a Seasons EP, but I have loved all the SPs!) Plus, many people have expressed that they wanted a small pet for their Sims! ❤️ I hope you can get this SP soon , along with any other packs you are currently missing, like Jungle Adventure! i have nothing useful to say--but i'm already looking forward to seeing pictures... i think that everything will look adorable.@PugLove888, i read your post and was wondering what a habitrail was. i didn't know it was a brand name, so... it's just "Habitrail"? it looks like some sort of hamster gym-labyrinth! i'd never seen one of those before. also, i discovered there's a transport unit/carrier for hamsters sold under that brand name! :oseeing the pet clothes led me to remember that, years ago, i dressed one of my cats in a little jumper that must have been an old doll's, or something. but she refused to walk until i removed it.all i do now is sort of "tuck her in" when she sleeps. that is, if she doesn't do it herself first. <3(she's sitting with me right now... and i'm covering her with *my* jumper! <3)

@unseenlarks, yes I didn't know that "Habitrail" was a brand name either! I assume it is a combination of the words "habitat" and "trail". I guess a generic English term for it might be "hamster maze" or "hamster tubes". I also didn't know they weren't the best choice for gerbils and some types of hamsters! Apparently you need your maze to be scaled to the size of your particular hamster! They have to be much more fun for the hamsters than just living in a rectangular cage or box! The mazes and extra rooms are supposed to mimic a hamster's natural habitat! ❤️ So you can see why I was so pleased that they will be included in this Stuff Pack! I have to wonder about the story of how the hamsters get to explore in a rocket! 😃 :eahigh_file: That's funny about your cat not liking being dressed up. I think more dogs prefer being dressed up than cats. But I never had a cat (unless you count the Sims' cats!)I wish you could get all the packs you are missing soon! ☹️ We will post pictures and tell y'all about it, but it's always better to play first hand! 😇I think the My First Pet Stuff will be a perfect SP for me! Yes, a lot of Chihuahuas shiver! Makes you want to give them a warm hug! ❤️ I had 4 neighbors on my street growing up who all had Chihuahuas! ❤️ (And I love that the person you mentioned put football jerseys on his or her larger dog! :eahigh_file:
I know what you mean by wanting to make sure your older pets are as healthy and happy as they can be! It was that way with my elderly Pug before he passed away! But then I'm the same with my puppy! Better to be safe than sorry!
Speaking of taking our pets to the vet, in the game I tried to have one of my Sims take a stray cat to the vet ... while the cat went with her, the game wouldn't let me check her into the vet clinic to get treated! I didn't want my Sim to adopt her (she's concentrating on her hedgehog) but I felt bad for the kitty!
Ah, that is one of the differences between cats and dogs! 🤨 Cats want power; dogs just want to be with their people! 😇 My Pug that got upset when he couldn't follow my nephew into the bathroom did this because we got him from a rescue organization. He had been abandoned before (they found him on the street) so he had separation anxiety! He hated when anyone left the house or closed the door to keep him out!
Your Siamese cat could be a mix, or it could just be that she is full Siamese with a genetic mutation that makes her tail stripped. I know they have genetic tests for dogs, so I'm pretty sure they have them for cats (but they probably cost a lot of money!) But she sounds beautiful! 😇 Your rescue cat sounds very fluffy! ❤️ And I think she might be part Pug because my little Pug stands on her hind legs a lot! 🤨:eahigh_file: But it is amazing that she can open some doors! 🤨 She's a genius! 🥳 But its funny to think that your cat and my dog both sound alike when they purr!
I was really fortunate to get such a good picture of my Sim's hedgehog! It can be tricky to get the camera just right. I'm really happy you liked the picture! I need to get a close-up pic of the mouse, and better pics of the hamster and the voidcritter! (I can't remember which type of Voidcritter it is but it starts with a "B".)
I'm also glad you liked my Sim! Daisy is a very goofy, playful Sim! That hairstyle and shirt came with the My First Pet SP! I love the teal highlights with her dark brown hair! Most of her clothing is a combination of MFP pack, JA pack, and Laundry pack. I'm just showing one outfit in these pics today, though.
And my hedgehog has now gotten a thank you card from a Science lab for its contributions, like my other Sim's hamster did. And he must have gone into space again becaseu I got another postcard from him with an illustration of him wearing a spacesuit. (My hamster's postcard had him in a Hawaiian shirt!) 😃 And you are correct! There is a certain look in the hedgehog's eye that tells you its not an ordinary hedgehog! 🤔 😃

small dogs look especially cute when dressed up. it's sometimes their faces seem to say "wait until i can get out of this outfit"... but other dogs just love it. so maybe they also have their own fashion preferences and should be allowed to choose their own. XD

so Sims can't take pets they don't own to the vet? makes me think about how some vet clinics or pet shops have signs on the front saying there's dogs or cats up for adoption and list the "foster home's" number. but people who find them can pay for their treatment until the pets find homes. my neurologist recently adopted a dog, it was found along with other puppies by a colleague of hers, who took them all to the vet to get shots, knowing she couldn't keep any of them *and* before she let people know she had them. that was really generous.

it could be that my Siamese cat has some genetic mutation. i'd never thought of that--just that she was part tiger. she certainly has the attitude. she acts like royalty and very "Siamese if you please" but also lets her bad temper show sometimes! XD

and i keep thinking... maybe my white Pug-Cat spent the first months of her life around dogs. also, she used to be scared of so many things and noises when she was younger but she adjusted over time, and "adopted" me very quickly. and yes, she is really fluffy! <3
it's funny because she often has a confused or clueless look on her face, but then she does really smart things. she is also kind of clumsy for a cat, which is why i want her to lose some weight. especially because, at times, instead of moving like a regular cat, she "cannonballs" from higher places and once hurt her paw after an awkward "landing". it wasn't serious but she limped for a day or so.

i think the small pet you told me about was the mini Bubalus? and the hedgehog in a spacesuit sounds so adorable.

i love your Sim's hair too. reminds me of how i wanted to get blue highlights when i was a teenager, but my parents would have killed me... so i just stuck to solid shades. XD and i often use big hoop earrings, not just to wear myself... but them being the one accessory one of *my* Sims wears.
