Trees from my garden room show up in gallery post but disappear when placed?

Mods/CC: yes but the only two mods that run scripts are the latest version of MCCC and Plumfruit by Arnie, otherwise the rest is just CC clothing/furniture/hair etc.

Game Version: 1.111.102.1030 (latest version)

So to summarize what’s happening: I’ve been using a newer Sim to complete both the Reaper’s Rewards and the Cozy Celebrations events. Mainly because I had multiple issues when trying to use my main Sim to get the rewards from both events. I wanted to transfer everything the new Sim earned into my main Sim’s household/personal inventories so that I can put the items around main Sim’s house. I was able to successfully pack up all of new Sim’s rewards items by putting them in a room and uploading that room into my personal gallery.

My newer Sim has a very successful and flourishing garden that I also wanted to upload to my galley as well. I was able to place walls around the garden to form a room and moved all of the pots and planters with the plants into that room.

Here’s my issue: In the preview images on the gallery page I can see that my grown trees exist in the room. But when I place the room down on a lot, my trees disappear completely and I just get empty planters instead. These rooms aren’t huge and can fit on most lots so I don’t think it’s a lot space problem. Hoping that someone can help me figure out why this happens and if there's a way to get my grown trees back so that I can use them again in my main Sim's backyard.

  • @thecornlady I do see dark squares in the planters. Are the trees actually gone or only invisible? Are you able to either tend the garden or plant new plants?
  • I used to find the trees in my rooms would delete if Moo was not enabled when placed if they were in a medium height wall room to accommodate their height but I am placing them in a level with short/standard height walls. If memory serves the fact that when I placed the room it forced my tree room to standard height so the roof deleted the tree. I could work around this by enabling moo before I placed the tree room.

Another workaround I do now with all of my plants that addresses this tree issue far more easily is I save them in a room that I have deleted the walls from, and I make sure the ceiling is deleted also. I do this in the yard. The plants or tree need to be in a planter/pot, and I do not delete the floor tile, so it still registers as a room when I click the floor, and I can save as a room. (The reason the rooms in these screenshots look like they have grass is because I used the grass-look floor tile.) Or I suppose you could just delete the ceiling. For example, this is how my tree/plant rooms look in the library or gallery:

Also, I seem to vaguely remember that maybe if a tree got deleted due to the room wall height when I placed it on another lot it may have turned up in my household inventory? Do you see your tree in the household inventory by chance?

I would love to also hear any results from testing if there is any content in your planters that you're not seeing, per the recommendations @PipMenace made. I never thought of checking for that!
