Two-Story Rooms including basments

Earlier today, and even yesterday, I had no problem creating a 2-story room where the basement is the lower level and the ground floor is the upper level. Now all of a sudden when I try to remover the floor of the upper level, and the ceiling of the lower level, all I see is dirt. I've tried building in different orders, working on normal terrain, fixing foundations, but nothing is working. The other rooms that I've completed are still on the lot, and there's nothing wrong with them.

Here are the intact 2-floor rooms that were built earlierAnd this is what happens when I try to do the same thing now

I have tried many alternatives, including what I've stated, and also trying to do this on other lots... it still doesn't seem to work.

  • c4squette Tbh, I'm not sure what you are trying to do given what I see in your pics.  If you don't mind, could you post a few more pics of the build that are not directly overhead?

Or if you would like someone to take a look at the build, I am willing to do so.  All you need to do is upload the lot to the gallery and respond here after you've done so with the lot name and your userid if different than the one you've used here (c4squette).  I will download and take a look to see if I can find what is going on with it.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you, though after trial and error, I found the problem. I had another building on the lot with a pillar foundation. It must have conflicted with my basements, which were above ground level. When I changed the foundation, the 2-story room effect worked.

The building with a Pillar Foundation:After making it solid:

Here's the result... The bottom floors in both pics are basements.
