Unable to buy Paranormal Stuff (Origin - Denmark)

Hi there!

Sooo ... I can't buy the Sims 4 Paranormal Stuff Pack.

Yes, I do have enough money and yes, the card info is correct. Through Sims 4 Facebook groups I have seen that more Danes have the same problem without finding a solution yet.

I have tried many times, I have repaired and updated my game etc. Buying is through Origin, and no, I do not want to buy from other places. 🙂

Does anyone know why and how this problem is happening? And if you have a solution, let me know!

When being at the last step, tapping the button to buy, I get a message translated into: "The action could not be processed".

This is specific to EU. It is required that you enable 3dsecure on your card. Please visit this link: 3D Secure - Verified by Visa og MasterCard Secure Code (nets.eu)

Hi, I've got exacty the same problem, and I just tried your solution, but still no luck! If anyone knows what else to do please let me know. Thank you

The Link I posted are for Danish cards only. If yours are not you need to contact the issuer of the card.

I ended up paying with my gf's card, but I had to use the solution to be able to use my card online. 3D Secure is the only way to deal with this from now on.
Another info: My banker told me that some companies might not have updated their payment system, but this will most likely be very small ones. Therefore, you might not be able to by some places, but I am pretty sure Origin should have updated their system.
For the Danish users finding it a little difficult I'll write the solution in Danish below:

Grundet EU-regler skal kortet igennem Nets sikres igennem 3D Secure, Denne side hjælper dig med at tilmelde dit kort til 3D Secure og få lavet en kode:
https://www.nets.eu/dk-da/digital-sikkerhed/Pages/Verified-by-Visa-og-MasterCard-Secure-Code.aspx
Denne procedure skal åbenbart følges for at handle online, men den påvirker ikke køb i fysiske butikker (fandt jeg ud af efter en snak med min bank).
Nogle netbutikker har endnu ikke opdateret deres betalingssystem ifølge min bank - blot en lille ekstra viden, hvis der stadig hersker problemer. :-)
