I have a cat cafe that I wanted to open, used the preset from the new pack and then built a place. Opened and the only thing customers would do was come up to the sign that says open, do gestures at ...
I'm having the same issue with trying to run a dog training facility! The dogs are able to enter the business fine, but I'm trying to hold training classes and the sims just pay, gesture, then leave. My doors aren't locked and it's set to the front door (and the space is set to business space). I don't understand. I attached a screenshot where you can see - my sim inside trying to teach an empty class, Sim customers just standing outside, but dog customers are inside successfully. I also attached a screenshot of my business activities. No mods or CC, have had them disabled since the update. My "preferred customers" are dogs (with their caregivers staying) but is not a requirement. (edited to fix the whole message looking like a title)
ETA: If I move the kiosk inside the building or fence (both of which are unlocked), sims cannot get to it at all. If I remove "dogs" from the preferred customer list, sims are able to come inside and interact with the business normally. I'm pretty convinced this is related to the preferred customer abilities, even though I did not select that they were required. Which stinks, I want to encourage dogs here :(
perfectlyjackie I honestly think so too! I've tried restarting the game twice, putting the lot back in and out, going home and back, going to manage world and back in. Like it will fix very small glitches each time, but then present in other ways I just don't understand?
I managed to get the cat cafe to the point that it's a functioning cafe, but everything cat related is just unusable at the same time as people. I'm insanely frustrated with this and had to stop playing all together last night.
I figured it out a little for my issue at least I think - I updated "Target Customers" to have caregivers stay with their dogs. This allowed sims to enter the building for me - I'm not sure if you have something similar set for cats. If I tell the caregivers to leave their dogs (even only as a preference, not a requirement) no sims will enter the lot.
perfectlyjackieI figured it out in a similar way, I still struggle with them messing with the cat part of the cafe, but at least I have customers now. Guess I'll just avoid the cat cafe idea for a bit until I understand the pack more or any bugs get fixed
