University EP questions

Hi all. I recently purchased the University EP and I have a question about how and where to go to feed my Sims. There isn't anywhere for my Sim to get food and I have looked all over the campus. I have tried clicking on the different buildings and I either get guest lectures, a soccer game, or visit University Housing. There is a countertop in the bathroom and if I click on it, it has the blurred out option to "cook with" then says there is no available fridge. I also noticed build mode is disabled for the dorms. So how am I supposed to feed my Sim? This was not a well thought out EP at all. (Who thought it would be a good idea to hear 4 violins playing/practicing different songs at once in the dorms)

If my Sim can't eat I might as well have him drop out and send him back to his home lot so he won't die of starvation or is there a way to have my Sim still attend University from home after he's already been in the dorms?

Thanks for any info.

  • @greenean71 In addition to the excellent answers you have already been given, you have two other options:
    1) Wait for some dorm roommates to bring food (they always do).
    2) Go to a university kiosk and buy a mini-fridge and microwave that you can place in your sim's inventory and then set them up in his room.

  • Your sim could go to Darby’s Den which is the Ubrite Commons or Larry’s Lagoon which is the Foxbury Commons, and buy food there. They sell meals there at the cafeteria area for your sim to eat.

  • Here's a few more solutions for eating at University.

    a. Order pizza or other delivery food.

    b. Use a grill. There are two by the water behind Darby's Den and another one at the fishing spot behind Pepper's Pub in Gibbs Hill. You can take the leftover food home with you if you want.

    c. Visit the Pleasants or the Elderberrys and use their stoves for cooking. Works best if you have the Always Welcome reward trait, which only costs 500 points. This can also be used while visiting other worlds. (You aren't required to spend all your time in Britechester.)

    d. Order food from the bar at Pepper's Pub.

The university pack seems to be designed to make it impossible to cook at home.

A work around I personally use is editing the dorms. I added the cafeteria that can be found in the commons to the dorm. A cafeteria worker is spawned at certain hours during the day. That way my sims could eat at the cafeteria in their dorm.

Dorms can be edited without cheats if no studenst are living there at the moment. I edited the foxbury dorms to include a cafeteria.
