I play with story progression off for reasons like this! I find it disturbing when characters aren't where they should be in the sims worlds. People moving to other worlds instead of the one they should be in. Some like it but I find it just messes up the game. Horses in apartments. They need to fix this for sure!
I turned off Neighbourhood Stories for things like this. It doesn't happen in my game with it turned off so I'd maybe consider disabling it in your Game Options until this is hopefully addressed at some point.
In my game it was households full of babies. I know they're just pixels but it was stressing me out wondering if those baby Sims were ok! So enough was enough and it was turned off.
Plus I am way too much of a control obsessive with my game so I don't miss it.
My neighborhood stories are off and it’s still happening. Why sims 4 team is so lazy to not fix logical basic things like this is beyond me. This thread started two years again. They sold at least 3 expansions since but can’t fix a basic error. Horses should be banned from apartments and rentals
