Ok, I guess it was an user error: I tried sparing with werewolf I have downloaded from the galery (who I was not playing with), that's why it sometimes worked and other times not - the other werewolf hadn't unlocked the transformation skill lol. Sorry for causing concern and thank you all for your replies🙂
