100% agree. I play my game through wants-based gameplay and this update has made that style of gameplay impossible - unless I want to completely ignore the 30+ other DLC I have.
There's no reason why they couldn't have taken the whims from before, made them into wants, and made new wants for the packs that never got any whims before.
I love this game, but it's frustrating to watch them get rid of features and alienate a large portion of the community with a feature that, given their track record with previous updates, will never get updated to have cross-compatibility with previous packs.
@A937113 and @frogcandles , yes, I also wish they would have kept the pack specific Whims from the previous packs and have converted them into Wants! That is very disappointing! 😢
