@Aquasims1415 , the problem is that adding new animals to the game won't solve the problem of the Pet Groomers.... nobody gets their cow groomed (They might wash and brush a cow for a show, but you can't really style the hair as it is way too short! 😉 ). The only pets that I know that get groomed are really dogs. There might be a few offbeat examples for some other pets that most don't know about , but they aren't going to make a pack about such a small, niche segment of pet owners who own an uncommon pet. Horses sometimes get their manes and tails styled, but that really wouldn't be a pet grooming pack without dog grooming at least! 🐶
Theoretically they could add to Cats & Dogs EP but they have never done that before. That would also be a lot of work to make a new career, animations, and potentially hairstyles/accessories, etc. and if something that requires that amount of work it would take a long time to implement it, which since this would be a pack update, that would mean people would have to basically work for free, which for the amount of time it would probably take to do this would not be fair to the developers. 😓
The only way to get around this would be to release it as an actual pack, but having a pack require another pack to use all its features didn't go over to well with people with the My First Pet Stuff Pack.
I love the idea of a Pet Groomer, but I don't think they will be able to do it without running into a lot of problems. 😔
@wittlebamb91 , I would also love a pet bakery! Same problems would exists as the ones above, but I still would love that! 💗
@PugLove888That's true. I have been thinking about it more and the only way around it is if they introduced a new type of active career where you can choose whatever you want as a job title. Similar to the sign up for the ministry thing. Can't remember what it's called right now, but have that and something like the club system. Where we can choose what actions we do for pay. That would solve so many problems.
For Example: Title - Pet Groomer
Actions - Bathing dogs, Brushing dogs etc...

@Aquasims1415 , some people have already kind of done this a bit with the very feature you were thinking about! That is what @DonroaAkashu did with having their Sim become a Maid! 😎

It's a good idea to introduce a pay system; what I do is Ask For A Loan, or to give money as a gift when I have the, by me appointed, employer sim active. Sometimes I just cheat the sum to the household, since for me it is not that important where money comes from. Playing the maid makes that more realistic too, in a grim way. It would be nice with a union system in the game, I have always wanted the Politician career to be more advanced and interesting, that is, realistic. The conservationist career (IL) with it's global policies is a good start, but it is rather buggy.
- 5 years ago@PugLove888 Yes, but we don't have a pay system or a way for the sims who own pets to bring their pets automatically. What I'm suggesting is they revamp register with the Ministry of Labour and add a system similar to the club system. Add action in which you can get paid and sims outside your household will do actions like bring their pets to be groomed or in a different case of you register to be a singer you can set an action to calls to sing or get a gig to sing. As we get new packs with new actions they add more. Idk Just trying to figure out a better way to add realism.

@Aquasims1415 , yes, I see what you mean. @DonroaAkashu in the post right after mine from earlier explains how she worked out the payment system for her maid. I don't know if you saw that or not, or if you did see it but maybe that wasn't satisfactory to you. 😉
I do think adding the careers of Maid and Nanny would be doable for the Sims 4.🥳 Dog Groomer is a bit trickier for the reasons explained above! Hopefully they will add Maid , Nanny, and some others we've mentioned to the game though! 🤞
