Where are the slacker careers we were promised years ago?

Been playing the Sims series since the first Sim City and have all of the Sims games. Years ago after Maxis was bought by EA, in a Q&A with the devs, we were promised career paths for lazy/slacker Sims.

I am getting to be an elder now (64) and would like to see my dream job in the game before the Reaper shows up. What is that dream job you ask? Pan handler. A cardboard sign, a beat up tin cup and ragged clothes to wear. Another great option would be the garbage picking resell career. Go through the garbage bins in the hoods and set up a booth on street corners selling the trashy treasures to snooty Sims. 

Ideal traits would of course be slob ,lazy and erratic.

Sigh. One can only hope and dream....

    The Pan handler sounds like fun. The garbage picker and seller exists in eco life style pack. 😉 You can even sleep and woohoo in the industrial bins! Those traits do exist also. The pan handler sound fun really. Set up a stall for those living ruff for free sleeping bags. LOL

    EA isn't going to put anything in basegame that they can make money from. Just the way they roll.

    I don't recall that being promised for Sims 4! EA bought Maxis before the first Sims game came out. Personally, I'd love to see some version of the Sims 2 Slacker Career in Sims 4, though. I used that career so much as a Sims 2 player! It would be fun if the levels randomized, too!
