Will buying Digital Deluxe erase my progress?

Hi there, 

I have owned The Sims 4 for several years and I have nearly all the expansion packs. However I only have the Standard version of the base game. I know that the Digital Deluxe edition upgrade is $15 USD, but to buy a new copy of the base game Deluxe edition is only around $7 USD. My question is, if I buy a new copy of the base game, will I be able to play with my current saves and expansion pack content? Or am I going to have two copies of the base game, one Standard version with all expansions and one Deluxe version with no expansions? I'm just wondering how/if that would work.

    @sydneyemme  If you buy the Digital Deluxe on your existing Origin account, you may (or may not) have two separate entries in your Origin game library.  However, you'll be able to access your owned packs through each one.  There's no need to rebuy anything.
