- KathykinsSeasoned NewcomerDirector: We have to get someone else for this part, they can't even get a simple kissing scene right.
Producer: Right, didn't we try to get Judith Ward for ....
Director interrupts: I'll call her agent.
They don't ask for reasons, they just want their movie done. Afraid you weren't quite what they were looking for. Back to auditions you go!
On a more serious note, no idea how many times my female, straight actress had to kiss Venessa Jeong, because she was always picked for those scenes, while the male co-actor were picked for any other scene. We do the job or we don't. Acting isn't for everyone. - acting should never depend on actors dating preference cause its acting.
but i think it would be nice if game made higher ranked actors take bigger roles cause i swear judith just lives in some weird mascot costumes these days in some small roles and it makes no sense to me that she would settle for that type of jobs. especially cause the second lead actor is always some random townie no one knew even existed - so true it's always the same sex when acting, at least switch it up

What mod?- IRL show business is brutal! I have many friends that perform in local theater, and they rarely get what they want. If they don't make it believable that their character is truly in love with that nasty blobfish that they have to kiss...the director finds someone else, someone who can make it believable. its that simple. As an actor, You kiss who the writer and director want you to kiss, not who you want to kiss.
- ThriorTheSecondSeasoned NewcomerOh, I'm just glad to hear it doesn't match their preference because I totally thought it did. I'm playing an actor who's gay and basically all his co-stars have been males and I thought that's awfully convenient. Only like two women appeared after I accidentally flirted with one so I thought it was matching them to his gender preference score (which by now is back to 100/0). I personally really like it if that's not the case because acting has nothing to do with your RL preferences. This particular character demonstrates it by practicing romantic scenes with random women as well, often with fans lol. (They must love him for that.)
Though it is a bit silly if it's so skewed for one gender, to a point that I actually thought it matches preference. Would like the system to mix it up more. "Scobre;c-17932747" wrote:

What mod?
I made that post in December of last year. Not sure if that mod has been updated. I stopped using the acting career as it was too much of a structured check list and I hate those.
Do you remember what mod it is? Perhaps it may be updated. Ive only recently got Get Famous so this is a big peeve rn. Or if not some other mod that allows us to change the npc? I used cheats but couldnt enter CAS to modify because it was a nonplayed sim. So i took control and used "change sim" instead and changed their clothing, body type and etc. But it caused them to leave the acting garage and my sim couldnt finish her scenes.
I use MCCC mod to help with that, it is a must use mod and Deaderpool updates it frequently. https://deaderpool-mccc.com/#/releases Just warning you on the MC woohoo one is the NSFW addition to the mod, so you just need the command center which pretty much is a multitool mod like NRAAs mod for the Sims 3 and insiminator mod for the Sims 2. It saved my households when the game tried to ruin my save files culling Sims with the addition of NPCs.
Ok thanks I will test this out! And will avoid the NSFW- ChampandGirlieNew SpectatorSo, I tend to make over all of the actors in CAS mostly to make them look like glamorous movie stars/"beautiful people" and to have whatever back story they have. This means that I end up with a pool of actors that I know. Lately I've ended up making a number of these actors and other characters playable because they fall in love on the sets a lot. My game also generated several good-looking producers. The actors, producers and directors all tend to end up marrying each other.
Every so often I'll leave one as-is especially as a character actor but I've edited most of the set in a way that works for me. When new actors come in I tend to jump into CAS to edit them. - GalacticGalSeasoned Ace

It's a game, not RL. What next, force the opposite "marriage" upon your game character than you want in your game because it would become boring for you playing the game if they didn't?
It should be pointed out here, that it goes both ways even in RL. Gene Roddenberry, who created the Original Star Trek that aired 1966-1969, spoke to George Takei about the character, Sulu, asking if he was okay to play a straight, married character. George said yes, and I could never imagine anybody else filling that role. As some have said acting is acting. But, I also have to say, that while that is true, if your Sim is of another orientation and the 'risky' scene always involves kissing the undesired gender, it gets old very fast. He won his Starlight Accolade, but the parts never got any better for him. Same old, same old. I had him quit to concentrate on his music. "GalacticGal;c-17933100" wrote:

Even a celeb perk to have "influence with the director" could work. There could be a drop down menu that lets you choose your costars, like the way you can choose who you want for the roles in parties like caterer, musician. I have an actor couple and id like for them to star in movies together, like John Krasinski and his wife does.
