- WaxintegralSeasoned NewcomerI put NPCs top of my wish list. To be able to have that without installing a mod would be great. There were some good options overall, though, even ones I wouldn't want (like heists) so I'd be satisfied with any of those coming to fruition. BTW I voted Scottish Highlands for my top locale. It'd be very different from anything in the game so far.
- SAEldarinSeasoned Novice@simgirl1010 Thank you for posting the link to the survey!
After listing my choices w/10 being "the highest" and 1 as "the lowest," I had to look closely to see the instructions for actually ranking those choices! I had to go back and correct my rankings -- as I automatically listed them w/10 as "most wanted," when in fact 1 is "most wanted." :o - crocobauraSeasoned Ace

Really? I saw it as an opportunity to finally have a Fear emotion in the game and to get some rebalancing by changing the excessive Happy buffs and possibly getting a default of Fine instead of Happy. The emotion system needs a huge overhaul.
That's what I'm hoping that vote meant too. I want fear and some balancing to happen. - SimmervilleSeasoned Ace

Unpopular opinion, but keep Story Progression out of my game! This isn't a case of don't like - don't buy anymore, nothing additional that I can safely ignore, but a change in the game's core, in a product I have paid for in good faith. (Yes, I'm aware that the terms of use warn us that EA can change their product anytime. Doesn't change the fact that I'd be word-starting-with-p if they really took it to that extreme.)
Me too, this would be my worst nightmare. I like just going into World Manager and being able to have the couples that I want have babies when I want them to, add and expand their families as I see fit. I don't want to go into World Manager and see 2 sims that have no business being married to each other, suddenly married with two kids. If I want my Sim to marry Sim X and I don't want to rush it, I don't want to suddenly see Sim X in a relationship with some other frickin' sim. These are all annoying things that happened to me with that demon story progression. Bad enough that when Sims come pregnant to the hospital, sometimes they're pregnant by my sims who are in happy relationships when I go look at the family tree. Thanks, I hate it.
If they add things like this, I hope they also make some additions to Game Options so that I can shut that off.
Edit: Or at least modify it - like can I mark families or Sims that I don't want to be modified this way? That'd be great.
Agree to most of this. I wouldn't mind if others can have story progression, but it must be possible turning it off 100%. I play all houses on rotation, and I want to be in charge of what I built up over 5 years, or I can just as well stop playing. Besides, I expect some of the story progression to be more extreme than subtle - "Hey, Duchess Claudia just divorced from her Duke and ran away with Bob Pancake... no thank you... - purplestarz2006New Spectator

I don't want story progression in my game ... but if it comes with an option to turn it off I think it would be a good thing. I wish there was something in the survey about that. I had to vote it low because of that but would have voted certain things higher if I knew they were thinking of optional possibilities though.
I chose more of the vineyards/countryside/beaches and less city stuff on the lower ends.
It was interesting to see a nod at babies in that survey.
I really want bands so that was number one for me then heists, and cheerleading was up there (sorry, not sorry). Anything to move them all together with fun animations and group possibilities. "Modern" romance scared me because of the modern catch.. but still voted it kind of high because we just need more actual in person couple interactions, just hope I didn't vote for only cell phone interactions.
It was a hard survey. This thread is bearing out that we all want different things.
I have similar feelings regarding story progression. On the one hand, story progression as it existed in TS3, where it universally applied to your entire save file, would be a very unwelcome addition. (In fact, story progression was one of the main things that left a sour taste in my mouth regarding TS3 as a whole.)
However, given that TS4 can differentiate between played and unplayed Sims when it comes to aging, I would hope that the same would apply to any story progression features as well. As long as I can tell the game “Do what you want with the townies, but leave my households alone”, I’d be ok with it.
Personally I ranked story progression near the middle-I was much more interested in the options for connecting with off-lot family. But I totally understand why others would rank it higher. "Gordy;c-17472902" wrote:

I voted Emotions pretty high. I'm hoping that they fix emotions to be more realistic and less effected by environmental factors, like the well decorated moodlet!- Peapod79New SpectatorI am really glad that they were smarter with the survey this time and added in the rankings. Everyone just picking 10 for everything isn't very helpful or informative and it's nice to see that they've learned from it.

Exactly! :) - AineOfMaySeasoned SpectatorI SO much want a harder life and more consequences for sims. Also better emotions - hoping for fear emotion. Also better babies. Pls!
