It s something they do automously however if enough people want it I'm sure they could patch it into the interactions. More likely a modder will make this an interaction but maxis might patch it in.

I wish you could turn it off. A lot of the time I'll mistake it for flirting and try to pull my sim out of the situation...then i'll realize it's just that stupid greeting interaction. It makes zero sense to have it in Windenburg, which I thought was supposed to be German inspired.

I've seen Sims greeting each other in various ways whenever they start a conversation. Which is fine when it happens in the street or on a community lot, it's what you do in real life.
But it annoys me to no end when they're having dinner together at home and get up from their seats to hug each other or something just because they want to talk to another household member.

As a German I can assure you, we totally do that too. Especially in the region close to France.

I only see it in Windenburg! All my family greet like this, it's very European maybe why sims in other 'worlds' don't do it :)

I don't think it's exclusively a German-inspired greeting. It's more widespread than that. I love this greeting.
